Another Houston moon

Looking toward Commerce Street, I believe. I was trying to get down to the bayou, which is barely visible in the foreground, but I couldn’t figure out the path and had to get out of there so I could make a work-related conference on time. The exciting times and frustrations of being an amateur photographer.

The moon is a harsh mistress

Nope, not an outtake from “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”; rather, this was one half of the entertainment in the casino room at Minutemaid Park in Houston, during a Microsoft conference. Conceptually, “Ladies on stilts, wearing white wigs and sunglasses and holding light-up Hula Hoops”, doesn’t sound that thrilling, but the crowd of mostly XY chromosomes appeared mesmerized, lining up dozens deep, waiting to get a picture snapped with said stilt ladies.

Main Street, Houston

Chatted up these two fellow Canon shooters on the streets of Houston, Texas. They were nice enough to let me interrupt their photo shoot and get one of my own. Always fun meeting people in a new town, even if it’s only for a few fleeting minutes.

A little support

Part of the old Hamm's Brewery, soon to be a number of new things, including the 11 Wells Distillery, Flat Earth Brewing Co., and Urban Organics.
