Brutal late afternoon of trying to get a shot of downtown Minneapolis
beneath heavy cloud. Got into position and thought the wind was going to
blow over the tripod. Got that secured, started lining up a shot…and
then the rain began to fall. Didn’t bring an umbrella, so that was a
wrap.
Here’s a photo from sunnier moments this past weekend: the
delightful Smiling Pelican Bakeshop in Maiden Rock, WI, with special
guest star The Sunflowers.
Photos mostly from Minneapolis and Saint Paul, but also other places because sometimes I get lost.

face to the sunshine
"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do."
- Helen Keller
They're looking a bit peaked this year from a major lack of rain, but still hanging in there.
