It’s that time in my life when the kids are starting to check out colleges. We were in Madison to tour the University of Wisconsin and got to spend a few minutes down on The Terrace, along the shore of Lake Mendota.

Sail into sunset

Chalk this one up in the "almost" category. If I could do it over, the sailboat would be fully in the shot. But the floating deck I was on while taking the picture was bobbing around more than I expected. I fired off about three shots before the people in the boat had pushed off from the dock and were out of the frame; this is the best of those.
