Sach's Covered Bridge, Gettysburg, PA. One of four remaining covered bridges in Adams County.

Sachs Bridge

Originally built in 1852 and crossed by both armies in the battle of Gettysburg in 1863. In 1996, when Marsh Creek flooded, the bridge washed downstream approximately a hundred yards, but within a year it again spanned the creek, with over 90% of the original truss and lattice intact.

Today only three covered bridges survive in Adams County.
