Touch me

Here’s one from a recent trip to San Francisco. This is a small detail of a whole lotta beautiful and interesting work in Clarion Alley in the Mission District. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Have some new things to post from recent excursions around my home turf in the Twin Cities, but I’ve been locked in an epic struggle with my computer to keep it running. Whenever I make it do something taxing, like play video or perform the usual post-production prettification of my photos, the laptop fan whirs into overdrive, the bottom gets molten hot, and then the computer shuts off. Grrr. Reckon it’s time to have the fan cleaned and/or replaced.

Bananas

Recently back from San Francisco and the Napa area. Dropped off one of my daughters to begin her adventure at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, so we turned the trip into a combo move-the-girl/family-vacation gig. Always enjoy visiting both those parts of California, and the time away from my day job allows me some moments to concentrate on photography. I knew this trip, though, would be primarily focused on family time, so I packed light, taking only one lens: my Tamron 28-75 mm lens, which I love. Snapped this at a market in Chinatown. Already looking forward to my next trip there.

SFO skates

Ice skating is always better when the temperature is right around 50, instead of right around zero, like I'm used to in the Twin Cities around this time of year.
