It's COLOSSAL

As in Colossal Cafe. This is the St. Paul location. You really need to try the flappers, which are yeast-based pancakes. They're crazy good.

Gonna rise up

Going crazy with the bread baking and selling at Breadsmith on the corner of Grand and Snelling. If you haven't tried Stollen yet, you need to. No, seriously, YOU. NEED. TO.

Second early morning shot from the Wabasha Street Bridge, downtown St. Paul. This is looking northeast toward Harriet Island and the Robert Street Bridge.

Pretty much sums it up, I do believe.
Although I have to wonder if Ca$h-Dro is any relation to Ke$ha....

Starting from the back left, Papa Vicious, Curv Vicious, then kneeling in front, Whiplash. Curv owns Roller Revolution on University Avenue in St. Paul, a store specializing in roller derby equipment. They are some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

Open up

Don't know why this place is closed. I keep thinking if I stand in front of it long enough, it will magically reopen. Not that we don't have a good selection of hot dog joints to choose from in the Cities, but still, can there ever be too many?

outreach

Met these folks from Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Saturday. They were set up in the parking lot of American Bank, which allows them use of the space, near the corner of Snelling and University. They were serving up food and handing out toiletries and other necessities to whomever stopped by. Not a believer myself, but can't fault them for being out there on the streets trying to do some good.
